Statement from American Fintech Council (AFC) Chief Executive Officer, Phil Goldfeder, on Retirement of House Financial Services Chairman Patrick McHenry

“The American Fintech Council thanks Chairman Patrick McHenry for his exceptional leadership as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. Chairman McHenry’s innovative mindset and commitment to fostering a modern, inclusive financial system have set a high standard for policymaking in this space.

“In a letter sent today, we expressed our deep appreciation for Chairman McHenry's service. Throughout his time in Congress, Chairman McHenry has sought to ensure that the U.S. financial services industry remains the envy of the world through the continued development of a prudent legislative agenda that encourages innovation.

“Specifically, Chairman McHenry’s bipartisan commitment to innovation has been particularly impactful in advancing the responsible growth of financial technology embodied by our members.
