Finzly Joins the American Fintech Council (AFC) to Advance Banking and Payment Modernization with a Composable Banking Core

Banking technology provider brings modular, AI powered, payment, ledger and tokenized asset solutions to AFC’s coalition of responsible financial innovators

Charlotte, NC (August 11, 2026) – The American Fintech Council (AFC), the largest industry association representing both responsible fintech companies and innovative banks, announced the addition of Finzly as its newest member. Finzly provides a modern, composable banking operating system and unified payment core, which allows financial institutions to deploy payment rails, ledger, tokenized assets, agentic and modern banking infrastructure independently without a complete core replacement. As an AFC member, Finzly joins a network of financial technology leaders dedicated to promoting a transparent, compliant, and customer-centric financial ecosystem.

“Finzly's focus on building flexible, secure, and compliant financial infrastructure is vital as institutions modernize and deploy next-generation banking capabilities,” said Phil Goldfeder, CEO of the American Fintech Council. “Their operating system gives banks and fintechs the tools needed to integrate next-generation payment rails, scale operations efficiently and be prepared for what is next. We are proud to welcome Finzly to AFC and look forward to working together to support responsible innovation that enhances the broader financial ecosystem for firms and consumers alike.”

Finzly helps banks modernize one capability at a time through its composable BankOS platform. Institutions can deploy payment orchestration, virtual accounts, real-time ledgers, treasury capabilities, and embedded financial services independently while continuing to surround and shrink the legacy core systems. This modular approach reduces implementation risk, accelerates innovation, and enables banks to respond more quickly to evolving customer expectations.

"The future of banking will be built on open, composable infrastructure that gives financial institutions the flexibility to plug and launch modern banking products and innovate at their pace," said Booshan Rengachari, Founder & CEO at Finzly. "Joining the American Fintech Council allows us to collaborate with industry leaders who share our commitment to responsible innovation, regulatory clarity, and helping banks modernize payments and money movement without disrupting the systems they depend on today."

A standards-based organization, the American Fintech Council is the largest and most diverse trade association representing financial technology (fintech) companies and innovative banks. On behalf of over 150 member companies and partners, AFC promotes a transparent, inclusive, and customer-centric financial system by supporting responsible innovation in financial services and encouraging sound public policy. AFC members foster competition in consumer finance and pioneer products to better serve underserved consumer segments and geographies.
