New key hires in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, and Member Relations
WASHINGTON, DC (September 7, 2021) — Today, the American Fintech Council (AFC), announced that two new key hires have joined its senior team. Gerron Levi has joined as Senior Vice President, Head of Government Affairs. Yana Miles has joined as General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Head of Regulatory Affairs. Levi and Miles begin their new roles today, September 7.
Gerron Levi joins the AFC from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, where she served as Senior Director of Government Affairs. Levi is a legal professional with extensive experience creating and executing strategies to influence national and state public policy, through her relationships with the U.S. Congress, Administration, federal agencies and state officials. Levi also has experience as a Maryland State Delegate, where she represented residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Yana Miles joins the AFC from the House Financial Services Committee, where she served as Senior Counsel. Prior to this position, she worked as Senior Legislative Counsel and Policy Counsel for the Center for Responsible Lending. Miles brings over ten years of experience on the Hill and expertise in mortgage finance, consumer protection, affordable housing, and GSE reform.
In addition to these new hires, the AFC added Becky O’Mara as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Head of Member Relations in June. O’Mara joined the AFC from Promontory Financial Group, where she was a member of the Compliance Practice Group. Prior to Promontory, she worked at Fenway Summer and Deutsche Bank.
