WASHINGTON, DC (October 1, 2021) – The American Fintech Council (AFC) congratulates Rohit Chopra on his confirmation as the next Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). While fighting on behalf consumers in his prior position at the CFPB and as a Commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission, Director Chopra has also been a collaborative partner with all stakeholders including consumer advocates, regulated entities, trade associations, and other governmental authorities – both federal and state.
